Ranchi, March 15 & 16, 2024:

The prestigious Fintech Olympiad marked its inaugural Regional Round today at BIT MESRA, inaugurated by esteemed figures including Dr. Indranil Manna, Honorable Vice Chancellor; Dr. Bhaskar Karn, Dean of Student Affairs; and Dr. Shradha Shivani, Dean of Alumni & International Relations (DAIR) at BIT MESRA. Organized by India FinTech Forum, this groundbreaking competition aims to equip students with fundamental financial management skills, knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, and an overview of the fintech industry in an engaging format.


College students from both undergraduate and postgraduate levels worldwide are encouraged to participate in the upcoming rounds, with registration and study material available free of charge on the official website, www.fintecholympiad.org.


The competition commenced with a rigorous Qualifying Round assessing students' grasp of basic fintech concepts, followed by an intense finale where participants were tested on the latest developments in fintech. Among the top performers of the Regional Round held at BIT MESRA on March 16, 2024, were Avinash Kapoor, Narendra Kumar Raushan, Shivam Chourasia, Pawan Kumar, Ujjwal Singhi, Shashwat Jain, and Shubham Tibrewal, representing institutions including BIT MESRA, IIM Ranchi, and St. Xavier's College Ranchi.


In recognition of their achievements, our organizers from Mumbai will provide travel support to the top three finalists from BIT MESRA to attend the National Finals in Mumbai. The coordination of this event was overseen by BIT alumni Sougata Basu, Founder CEO of CashRich, and Nipa Dutta, an International Banker who flew down from Mumbai to Ranchi kickstart this event.

The Fintech Olympiad continues to pave the way for students to excel in the dynamic field of financial technology, fostering innovation and expertise among the next generation of professionals.
